Cheam First Nation SCAT Training

Dr. Elliott Taylor and Samantha Iliff of Polaris Applied Sciences, Inc. led a two-day course in Shoreline Cleanup Assessment Technique (SCAT) for members of the Cheam First Nation (British Columbia) and others under an initiative of the Emergency Planning Secretariat and the Lower Fraser River Fisheries Alliance. The classroom and field sessions provided participants with a sound understanding of the objectives of SCAT in a shoreline response program and the data collection process for field SCAT teams.
