OIL SPILL TECHNICAL TRAINING

Non-Floating Oil
Response Training Course

Course Objective
The course is designed to provide Spill Response Managers with an overall understanding of the key issues that are involved with submerged or sunken oils. This one-day or half-day training involves several group exercises and focuses on the development of practical guidelines and realistic options for non-floating oil. The following topics are covered in the course:
  • how and why oil submerges *
  • submerged oil transport
  • detection and tracking of sunken and submerged oil *
  • containment and recovery of submerged oil
  • containment and recovery of sunken oil *
  • response feasibility and expectations *
