Marine Scientist
Mr.
Reimer has been closely involved with marine geology and shoreline
research for over 25 years. Through his diversified studies he
has gained considerable experience in coastal and offshore environments
from an engineering, environmental and geological standpoint.
He has been involved in projects for physical mapping of shore
zones and submarine topography, environmental and engineering
contingency planning and oil spill response, sensitivity analysis,
countermeasure procedures, and oil spill cleanup. As a principal
of EML Environmental Mapping, Mr. Reimer is responsible for all
aspects of project design, implementation and management. Mr.
Reimer has worked with POLARIS on a variety of shoreline and

Jenni
Nelson
Marine Scientist
Jenni Young Nelson
is a geologist and environmental scientist with 10 years experience
related to oil spill response. Since 1994, when Ms. Nelson created
Young Environmental Services (YES), she has provided environmental
and marine technical support services to POLARIS on a variety
of projects. Ms. Nelson has assisted POLARIS in the preparation
of numerous response, prevention, and contingency plans and in
the technical development of operations manuals and research
documents for government, industry, and spill response organizations.
She has designed training manuals and materials in support of
POLARIS technical training courses and response exercises. Ms.
Nelson participated in the SCAT field programs on the EXXON VALDEZ
and most recently, the NEW CARISSA and Swanson Creek, Maryland

Alain Lamarche
Data Specialist
Alain Lamarche has
been involved in the analysis and management of environmental
data since 1979. Mr. Lamarche has been responsible for the development
and implementation of many environmental databases, including
Geographical Information Systems (GIS). He is also the original
designer of the ShoreClean software, dedicated to the provision
of SCAT data management support. Mr. Lamarche has acted as a
SCAT data manager and GIS specialist during the Kure, New Carissa
and Swanson Creek incidents. As principal of EPDS Inc., Mr Lamarche
is also responsible for all aspects of environmental software
development projects including design, management and implementation. |
