Angolan Coastal Sensitivity Mapping Project – South Angola

Dr. Elliott Taylor and Dr. Stephen Gmur led a 3-day workshop more than 50 delegates to present and review the background and deliverables resulting from two years of effort for the coastal sensitivity mapping (CSM) project. ACEPA members, industry and government participants, and consultants attended the workshop on the delivery of the Angola Coastal Sensitivity Mapping initiative for the south coast (Luanda – Namibia border). The joint initiative provides the Angola government and petroleum operators with an integrated and comprehensive compilation of shoreline information and tools for oil spill preparedness which, together with the previously delivered North Coast CSM project, provides key spill preparedness information for the entire Angola shoreline, inclusive of Cabinda and the Congo River to Noqui
