OIL SPILL TECHNICAL TRAINING

SMRT — Spill Management and Response Training Course

The course is designed to provide Spill Response Managers with an overall understanding of the key issues that are involved with a spill response operation and to present a systematic approach to spill management. The training is presented in a parallel format with Mr. Tom McCloskey providing the focus on management topics and Dr. Ed Owens on the response issues. This 2 or 3-day training course revolves around a table-top scenario that is designed for the client. The course modules generally follow the following pattern:

Participants are provided with a set of Course Notes that covers all of the material presented in the training as individual Management and Operations Modules. The binder also includes background information on the Response Management System (a Management Manual) and on Spill Response Operations (a Response Manual).
